The Chupa in Odessa. The Chupa in Odessa.

The minyan of the Gomel's Eshiva visited Odessa, one of the most beautiful cities of the Ukraine, from  the 10th to 13th of March. The cause was the chupa of Ichak Nichiparkov. The Chupa was held in the centre of Odessa in the Jewish street in the synagogue. There were many guests from different cities, towns, Eshivas and countries.

There were some lectures about Gmara and judaism been organised which touched both general and private questions, which were taught in depth in Gomel's Eshiva.

Held a lecture on Judaism Rabbi Shimon Grilius. He lucidly, almost on the fingers, gave an explanation of why the Jews if not, then the whole world is doomed to extinction. His lesson has caused a lot of questions and flowed into the discussion, which lasted half an hour.

A lesson of rav Shlomo Baksht was remembered for long. Rova's self-contradiction and the dispute of Abaye and Rova were discussed. Lecture flew in the same breath, still would be leading it  Rav Baksht himself! After all cases the boys had free time each spent at their discretion. Someone went to the sea, someone walked through the main streets of the city, while others run to the shops in search of gifts for their loved ones.
Unfortunately, even a few days for a city like Odessa are too few to enjoy all the beauty and charm of the southern resort of the Ukraine. We hope that soon we should again get the opportunity, because for some guys from Gomel's Yeshiva was organized Shiduh, and they say that both sides were satisfied with the meeting.
